Leaves From My Family Tree

The things I know about the Wilcox Family are from three sources: information that was handed down to me by my Grandmother and Great-grandmother, a letter that was sent in 1883, and what was written in Nancy Monorcas Wilcox Henderson's obituary.

Peyton Wilcox was born in Georgia; he married Elizabeth Vineyard, who was born in about 1800 in Estherville, West Virginia. According to Nancy Henderson's obituary, both Peyton and Elizabeth Wilcox died in Jefferson City while their daughter Nancy was young.

I have a letter written to Nancy Wilcox Henderson in September, 1883, mailed from Bartlesville, Indian Territory, which seems to indicate that Nancy had at least one brother, but none of the Family Traditions say anything about any other children in her family.
