Leaves From My Family Tree

The back of this photo reads:

Joseph Bever's first home.
DeSoto, Iowa
Wm Cook bought it.

I don't know who the people are in this photo, or when it was taken, but because of the facial hair and the hairline, it looks as though the man could be Joseph Bever. That would mean that the woman is Ruth Payne Bever. The genders of the four children in the photo, unfortunately, don't seem to fit this scenario.

Then again, it could be William Cook and his family.
