George | This was my great-great-great-grandfather. He was born 26 Mar 1800 in Rockingham, Virginia. He married Sabina Bretz, and they had eleven children.

Solomon | George Bever's brother. Per notes left by my great-grandmother, Solomon Bever had a daughter named Cynthia, sons named John, Al, and Big, and "others that I never knew". |

Susannah | She was born 18 March 1829. |
Melissa Ann | She was born 22 March 1832. She married "Shalter" and/or "Rosencranz" and lived in Michigan. |
Samuel | He was born 30 August 1833. |
Joseph | He was my great-great grandfather. He was born 7 October 1835 in Seneca County, Ohio. He married Ruth Payne, and they had six children. He died 19 Nov 1921 in Centralia, Lewis County, Washington. Some of his descendants still live in Centralia, Washington. |
Henry | He was born 22 October 1837. |
Gideon George | He was born 4 November 1839. He married Sarah Jones. |
Sabina Adaline | She was born 12 May 1842. She married Joe Reiffe. She died 20 September 1926 in Tiffin, Seneca Co, Ohio.

Sarah Ann | She was born 13 April 1845. She married Isaac "Ike" Revert. They lived in Tiffin Ohio. They signed their niece Minerva Bever's autograph book. |
Amanda | She was born 20 June 1849. "Mandy" married John Coup and they lived in Cleveland, Ohio. Photo |
These are the children of Joseph Bever and Ruth Payne Bever, the brothers and sisters of Minerva Elizabeth Bever, my great-grandmother. |
Sarah Melissa | She was born 9 December 1861 in Iowa. On 15 November 1885, she was one of the Charter members and a Steward of the Medford Methodist Episcopal Church. On 4 January 1887 she married W.F "Frank" Shaw in Medford, Jackson Co, Oregon at the home of her parents. The Rev W. P. Williams officiated. They had one child, Leon. She died in Medford on 1 April 1889, at the age of 28. |
Sovina "Vina" Mahalath | She was born 28 August 1863 in Iowa. On 15 November 1885, she was one of the Charter members of the Medford Methodist Episcopal Church. "Vina" married Alfred G. Huntington in September 1893 in Lewis County, Washington. They had two children, Ralph and Fanny. PHOTO Fanny's descendants still live in Centralia, Washington.
Her parents deeded her the family home, and they both died while living there with her. She died 9 March 1957 at the age of 92 in Centralia, Lewis Co, Washington |
Tunis Melvil | He was born 16 September 1865 in Iowa. He married Cora Wagner. They had one son, Clyde Earl. Tunis died in Toledo, Lewis Co, Washington on 13 August 1890. |
Elmer Edward | He was born 29 May 1867 in Iowa. On 15 November 1885, he was one of the Charter members of the Medford Methodist Episcopal Church. He married Sadie DeBaun, and they had at least eight children: Elton, Bill, Wayne, Howard, Gertrude, Melba, Gene, and at least one that died. They belonged to the Centralia Methodist Church in August 1890, and also lived in Millersburg, Oregon and Salem, Oregon. |
Minerva Elizabeth | She was my great-grandmother. She was born 5 November 1872 near Adel, Dallas Co, Iowa. On 15 November 1885, she was one of the Charter members of the Medford Methodist Episcopal Church. She married William Peyton Henderson, and they had two children. She died 1 March 1961. (By coincidence, Mom and I went to Centralia and spent the day with Vina's descendants on 1 Mar 2001, the 40th anniversary of Maggie's death.) |
Junia May | She was born 29 May 1875. She died 17 October 1878 at the age of three. Photo
